A vineyard on a human scale

In the heart of a preserved ecosystem in a bend of the Dordogne, Château de Lescours has been passionately cultivating 6,42 hectares of vines in the Saint Emilion Grand Cru appellation for five generations.

Rooted in a blend of clay, fine sand, and deep gravel, the vineyard embodies a unique interpretation of the appellation: fruity, luminous, and precise. The Merlot expresses freshness and crispness, while the Cabernet Franc brings length and verticality.

A place to live

The human scale of the vineyard allows for particularly meticulous work, where each plot receives constant attention throughout the year.

Vineyard management is based on the principles of sustainable agriculture, aiming to preserve the natural balance of the vineyard and the soil regeneration. Mechanical soil cultivation, natural ground cover, limited inputs, and the use of alternative methods such as mating disruption allow for a reduction in the use of treatments while protecting the vines.

The estate is also part of an 80-hectare ecosystem rich in biodiversity, surrounded by forests, wetlands, and meadows that promote the presence of beneficial insects, birds, and a variety of flora.

This harmony between terroir, nature and winemaking expertise allows Château de Lescours to produce authentic wines, faithfully reflecting the identity of their terroir.
